In the heart of the Sienese countryside on a hill looking out over Montepulciano, the Val di Chiana and its lakes is situated the Frateria di San Benedetto, easily reachable on the main road from Chianciano Terme toMontepulciano.
Thanks to its position, in the past the Frateria served as a stopping point for travellers and pilgrims on their way to Rome. The present day agriturismo (farmhouse accommodation) conserves not only the original name and position but also its sense of hospitality and the original 18th Century structure complete with its dovecot, its bread-baking oven, its external staircase and its lodge.

Villa Mazzi has its origins in the Cugusi family estate near Montepulciano which is well known for its pecorino cheese.

Villa Mazzi is beautifully situated, immersed in the lovely warm colours of the Tuscan hills, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and lush meadows dotted with the farm’s grazing sheep.

It is located on Strada per Pienza, just 2 Kilometers from Montepulciano.

The farmhouse’s position at 500 meters above sea level ensures mild weather with cool breezes during the hot summers. The property offers stunning panoramic views of the hillside town of Montepulciano, the temple of San Biagio, the Valdichiana and Cortona.

In the farmhouse there are 4 apartments either for 2 or 4 people, furnished and decorated in the warm traditional Tuscan style.

Tenuta Valdipiatta is an estate vineyard and winery in south-eastern Tuscany, in the heart of Italy’s Vino Nobile di Montepulciano region. Montepulciano has over 2,500 years of wine-growing history. Its red wines are made from Italy’s signature red wine grape, the Sangiovese, or ‘Prugnolo’ as locals call it here. Valdipiatta has always been family owned. It was founded in the 1960’s by the original owner and subsequently acquired at the end of the 1980’s by Giulio Caporali, who fulfilled his dream of living in one of Tuscany’s most beautifully preserved, rural environments while making his own wine.

Our farmhouse La Bruciata is located 2 km from Montepulciano (known as “The Pearl of the 16th Century”) in the province of Siena, in the direction of Pienza.

It is situated in a strategic and central position to visit the heart of Tuscany and takes its name from the farm located on the edge of the “Poliziano” territory, which faces the gentle and spectacular hills of the Val d’Orcia. The Artistic Natural and Cultural Park of the Val d’Orcia is a World Heritage Site where the dominant element of the landscape is a clay soil which lies bare forming the famous “lunar landscape” (Crete Senesi).

We can accommodate groups of 6 to 10 people, for at least two nights, for creative and recreational retreats, holidays, celebrations, special occasions or business meetings for groups. Our accommodations are spacious and comfortable and are characterized by indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for common activities but also for being alone in peace for a while.

You will be living in an area of great historic and artistic interest. The house sits on the property owned by the Gorelli’s family. It is a working farm, filled with olive groves, wineyards, as well as a garden with many varieties of ornamental plants.
