L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress.

After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.

The elegant restaurant, the cosy atmosphere and the simple furniture reflect the essence of our recipes: our dishes are based on simple, natural ingredients yet prepared in an elaborate, refined way.

Our chef’s culinary choices change according to the seasons: they can be either influenced by the magic of the winter surrounding our warmly-lit dining-room or by the refreshing, wonderful view over Montepulciano in summer.

All of our recipes are based on fresh, local ingredients and our dishes vary according to the seasonal fruit and vegetables. For instance, among the regional delicacies offered by Tuscan cuisine are Montepulciano’s truffles, local mushrooms, home-made pecorino cheese and local puddings.

All of our dishes are paired with a wide selection of mainly Tuscan wines, among which the well-known Nobile di Montepulciano.
